Our annual Open Evening for prospective students and their parents took place on Wednesday 10th October 2012. It was a very busy evening with all sorts of activities going on around the school in every department.

Andy Sawford, the Labour candidate for the forthcoming by-election, paid a visit to the Kingswood School yesterday and was accompanied by the Shadow Minister for Education, Stephen Twigg.
Monday 2nd July was a very exciting day for the school and for Sue Miller, Teaching Assistant, in particular. Sue was chosen to carry the torch as it made its journey along Cottingham Road in Corby.
On Wednesday 27th of June, the drama studio rocked to the triumphant sounds of a handful of very brave Year 9 students.
Back in February we were pleased to announce that we had won a Silver SAM Learning Award for our students completing over 3000 task hours, and we were one of only 250 schools to achieve that award. Well we are now delighted to have gone one step further and have made it all the way to the Gold Award with our students completing over 6000 task hours.
The Year 13 BTEC performing Arts group – Esther Abe, Heather Rose Downie, Erin Guerdette, Natasa Horvat, Hannah Lawson, Kelsie McIntyre, and Shani Vizma – gave their final performance this year in an excellent version of Amanda Whittington’s witty play ‘Be My Baby’.
We break today (Friday 1st June) for the half term holiday. School re-opens to students for Term 6 on Monday 11th June when it will be Week B.
Members of the local community will have the opportunity to be part of a special performance being staged for the Queen when she visits Corby next month. Singers, actors and dancers can audition for the opportunity to be part of the production, which is expected to involve around 50 local performers.
We were delighted to hear the wonderful news that one of our students had recently become the Scottish Tae Kwon Do Champion in his age group.
We break today (Friday 30th March) for the Easter Holiday. Monday 16th April 2012 is a training day and school re-opens to students for Term 5 on Tuesday 17th April 2012 when it will be Week A.
Although conditions are a little difficult, school will be open as normal today. Normal school uniform and timings apply.
On Tuesday 10th January 2012, Chief Inspector Andy Cox and Sergeant Daryl Lyons visited Kingswood to congratulate, thank and present certificates to students from Year 10-13 who took part in some very high profile Police training.
