All Key Stage 3 boys and girls took part in an Inter-house Festival in the last week of term, with all houses scoring points and Glennie winning the top spot.
Welcome back to the start of a new term and a new year. This is always a busy term and one which will go very quickly for students in Years 11, 12 and 13 as they prepare for their examinations later in the year.

We break up for our Christmas holiday on Friday 20th December 2013. On the last day of term students will be allowed to wear non uniform for a donation of £2.
As you are probably aware the two largest teaching unions, the NUT and NASUWT have voted to take strike action in response to the proposed changes to teachers’ pensions. This is a national dispute and not related to local matters. Consequently, a number of regions across the country will be subject to strike action on Tuesday 1st October 2013.
Congratulations to the Year 7 and 8 Girls' football team. They were away to Corby Business Academy yesterday (12th September) and managed a very convincing 7-0 win!
Tuesday 3rd September saw the Kingswood Secondary Academy open its doors for the first time in partnership with the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust and we have seen all our students make a great start to the new academic year.
Kingswood school is delighted to be celebrating significant improvements in its GCSE exam results.
During a recent monitoring inspection from Ofsted, we have been praised for the “outstanding improvements” made since our last inspection, which placed us into special measures in November of last year.
We are absolutely delighted with the report which recognises the significant improvements that have been made during the year which are a testament to the hard work and commitment of all those associated with the school; staff, students, parents and governors.
