On Friday 23 June we bid a bittersweet farewell to Year 13 with a ball in their honour at Wicksteed Park Celebration Suite. The students looked glorious, every inch the stylish young women and men they have grown up to be.
The evening was kicked off in appropriate Corby style with a wee set of tunes from Bailey Dickson on the bagpipes. It was a stirring and impressive performance that lifted the roof, all from a man who has barely said a word for two years! Still waters and all that…
The Academy is opening the doors of its state-of-the-art facilities to prospective Year 7 parents and students in and around Corby on Thursday 5 October 2017 from 6.00pm - 8.00pm. Presentations will take place at 6.00pm and again at 6.45pm. Take a tour of the building, meet the staff and take this opportunity to discuss your child's future.
The outstanding work the Academy has been doing with girls’ football throughout the Greenwood Dale Trust (especially here at Kingswood Secondary Academy) has been recognised by the Youth Sport Trust. An article about Kingswood has been included their summer edition ‘Youth Sport Trust – Inspire’. The article includes quotes from Matt Gamble, Head of PE. The magazine is distributed nationally and subsequently has provided an excellent platform to showcase both Kingswood and the Trust.

We were delighted that many pupils showed an interest in joining our Emergency Cadet detachment. The Police completed a selection and information process in the Academy and the first lucky 15 cadets were selected and participated in a launch of Northamptonshire Emergency Services Cadets on 26 April when the Mayor of Corby, Councillor Julie Riley, was in attendance. This is the first combined services detachment to be launched in Corby.

Dear Parent/Guardian
May I ask for your help in improving Kingswood Secondary Academy?
.
We are constantly trying to improve the education that we offer the pupils of our school and are now at a stage in the school year where we need you to tell us how well you think we are doing and how we can improve the things that are important to you.
As we hope you are aware, the Academy uses sQuid, an online payment system, for parents to pay for everyday items. Using this system you can pay online for trips, music lessons, Academy transport and much more. You are also able to top up your child's cashless catering account.
