Celebrating GCSE Success

Pupils at Kingswood Secondary Academy, sponsored by Greenwood Academies Trust, are celebrating after collecting their GCSE results today.

While grades for BTEC subjects are yet to be awarded, the Academy, rated Good, is pleased with the outcome so far with strong results in German, French, PE and Biology.

While all pupils have done well, individual success stories include:

  • Lucia MacDonald, who achieved 9s in English, English literature, geography history and double science; and 2x 7s, amongst other grades
  • Aimee Grey, who received 3x 9s in English, history and PE; 3x 8s and 1x 7, amongst other grades
  • Georgia Berry, who earned 4x 9s in English literature, English, history and religious studies; 3x 7s and 1x 6

Michelle Newman, Principal of Kingswood Secondary Academy, said:

“I am so proud of our pupils and staff who have worked incredibly hard to achieve these wonderful grades – today is a celebration for our entire school community.

“As our pupils move on to the next stage of their learning, whether that is starting an apprenticeship or continuing at Kingswood Secondary Academy as part of our Sixth Form cohort, I wish them every continued success.

“I would also like to thank our wonderful parents, without whom these results would not have been possible.”
