Double success in Girls' Netball

The Kingswood Girls’ netball teams carried on their winning streak with a double win over Kettering Baccleuch Academy.

Despite the cold conditions and playing their first match of the season outside, the Girls put on a gritty display of talent and cool ability of outwitting their opponents.

After the first half the Year 9’s were drawing 5 apiece with everything to play for.  Deborah Abe and Rebekah Haldane were the kingpins of the team, and contributed well to the half time pep talk.

The Year 8 team were holding a 7-3 lead with Leonie ‘Long arm Muir’ shooting from the far edge of the semi-circle with spectacular results. Again the half time talk fuelled their thirst for victory.

The final results were Year 9 winning 9 goals to 7, and the Year 8’s winning 12 goals to 9.

Well done to both teams, the practice is clearly paying off. Please check the board for future matches.
