Sexting

Sexting is when someone shares sexual, naked or semi-naked images or videos of themselves or others, or sends sexually explicit messages. They can be sent using mobiles, tablets, smartphones, laptops - any device that allows you to share media and messages.

Sexting is more common than you think. It was the most viewed topic on Childline's website last year. Many young people say they feel pressured into sending sexual images of themselves and don't always have the confidence to say no. Childline's app Zipit has loads of advice for young people and shows them what they can do if they're asked for nude photos. Talking about sexting with your child can be awkward, but it can also help protect them.  Please visit website below to see tips to help you start that conversation.
