End of Term Arrangements - Early Closure

We break up for our Christmas holidays on Friday 19th December 2014. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. As has become tradition now, we will be putting on entertainment for the students on the last day of term. This will slightly change the timings of the day.

Students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13, will be allowed to return home at approximately 12.30 p.m. Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 will finish at 2.00 p.m.

The school buses have been arranged to arrive at the Academy at 2.00 p.m. and leave at 2.10 p.m. If this earlier closure causes any problems for students who use public transport or our Academy bus service, please let us know and arrangements will be made for supervision until the buses arrive. Any student in Years 10 — 13 who use the Academy bus can, of course, stay in the Academy if they need to catch the bus at 2.00 p.m.

The last day of term, 19th December, is a non-uniform day, when students will be allowed to wear a Christmas jumper or something ‘festive’ for a donation of £2. All proceeds of this day will be divided between Save the Children and Comic Relief.

Students return to school on Monday 5th January 2015 when it will be Week B.
