    Consultation on admissions arrangements for Northamptonshire schools for 2018: 

     

    Northamptonshire County Council’s School Admissions Team is leading a formal consultation on the admission arrangements for mainstream schools within the county for the 2018 entry. The consultation period allows parents, schools, religious authorities and the local community to comment on the proposed admission arrangements.

  • Emergency Closures - Severe Weather

    We are entering the time of year when weather conditions are very changeable, unpredictable and have the potential to close the Academy in the interests of everybody’s health and safety.  There may be times when the Academy day has started but during the day the weather deteriorates to a point where it is necessary to close before 3.10pm.  We would quite clearly only take a decision to close in the most extreme circumstances and would always endeavour to remain open if at all possible.

    Welcome back to Term 2. I hope that you all managed some rest and recuperation during the break. As I’m sure you are aware, I wrote in Issue 3 of our newsletter about how important it is for pupils to use a good quality bike lock to secure their bikes when leaving them at the Academy.

  • Breakfast Club/Study Hub

    Breakfast Club

    Breakfast club starts again on Monday 12 September 2016. The club will run every morning from 7.40 am – 8.40 am. All pupils are welcome.

    Study Hub

    We are once again inviting pupils to stay after school to our Study Hub where support is available with their Maths and English homework. Pupils will also have access to Academy facilities in order to facilitate support with homework and independent study.  The Hub is open from 3.10 pm – 4.10 pm.

    Pupils who are interested should speak to their relevant Head of Year or Deputy Head of Year.

    Welcome back to Kingswood for the new academic year.  I trust that you all enjoyed the summer break and are refreshed and ready to go again!  As I write to you we are at the end of our first week and what a positive start it has been.  Pupils have returned looking smart and prepared to learn: our new Y7s have been a joy to have in the Academy.
