A-level Results 2014

Students at the Kingswood Secondary Academy are celebrating after receiving their results for their A-level or equivalent courses of study.

Performance in academic qualifications has continued to improve this year and the overall pass rate has increased to 99 per cent. Performance in vocational qualifications is equally impressive and students have maintained the perfect 100 per cent overall pass rate for vocational equivalents of A-levels.

Whilst all the students have done remarkably well, a number have particular cause to celebrate:

Coral Pashler and Nathan Parmar both achieved a Triple Distinction* in their performing arts extended diploma, equivalent to three top A-level grades, with Christina Hughes achieving two Distinction* and a Distinction in this diploma.

  • Erin Crainie has achieved Distinction* in all three of her subjects: art & design, business and information technology.
  • Reni Olagoke has achieved an A grade in English language, an A grade in English literature and a B grade in history.
  • Megan Plowman has achieved an A grade in mathematics, a B grade in biology and a C grade in French.
  • David Jakubas  achieved an A grade in mathematics, a B grade in physics and a C grade in chemistry

Scott Hudson, Principal, said: “We are delighted with this year’s Post 16 results. Our students, supported by their parents and staff at the Academy, have worked extremely hard and we would like to congratulate them on their achievements and wish them every success for the future.”

“The results are a true reflection of the abilities and hard work of our students and show how effective the teaching and learning is at Kingswood Secondary Academy. We were particularly pleased that the A-level pass rate went up and that we have further improved all aspects of post 16 performance.”
